Electrical Testing and Inspection Role

Bristol-based company seeks a skilled industrial electrician to join their team as an Electrical Testing and Inspection Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to gain valuable training, experience, and qualifications while working with a well-established business involved in specialist and engaging projects.

The company delivers comprehensive electrical testing, installation, and rapid response services to hazardous environments, providing tailored solutions to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of fuelling infrastructure. As an Electrical Testing and Inspection Specialist, you will be supported through your CompEx 7&8 course and will receive a route of jobs for the following week, where you will attend sites to perform Hazardous Area Inspections, PAT Testing, EICR Reports, and some basic remedial tasks to the client's facility.

This role requires participation in an on-call rota and may require working outside of standard hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing Hazardous Area Inspections
  • Producing EICR Reports to a high quality
  • Performing Testing and Inspection tasks on customer sites
  • Performing basic remedial works

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 18th Edition Qualification
  • ECS Gold Card or related certification
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
  • Capacity to identify defects through test readings as well as experience in completing EICR reports
  • Proven health and safety training and record
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand design and panel schematics
