About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at Newcastle University. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic research group focused on stellar astrophysics and will contribute to the development of new research projects and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in stellar astrophysics, with a focus on asteroseismic modeling and magnetoasteroseismic modeling.
  • Collaborate with the research team to publish high-quality research papers and present findings at international conferences.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in data analysis and interpretation, with a focus on spectropolarimetry of early-type stars.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications.
  • Participate in research meetings and workshops, and engage in outreach and public engagement activities.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as astrophysics or physics.
  • Excellent technical skills in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
