About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Finance Manager to join our team at Broster Buchanan. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and commercial insights to our regional directors and branch managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactive finance business partner providing support, challenge, and insight to regional directors and branch managers
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and analysis to key stakeholders, including:
    • Monthly and quarterly forecasts
    • Annual budgets
    • Variance analysis
    • KPIs
    • Ad-hoc analysis to drive business performance
  • Identify and explain business performance variances and recommendations for improvements
  • Consignment reconciliation, analysis, and challenge
  • Maintain strong financial controls across all areas
  • Support the Head of Finance as required through analysis and project activity
Requirements
  • Multi-site experience within the fresh produce industry
  • Management accounting in an FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable being the only finance person within the region
  • Flexible team player who can help change behavior both by compelling nature of analysis and by working closely with colleagues to drive improvements
  • Demonstrates a sense of personal ownership, is results-driven, and has a 'can-do' attitude
  • Enthusiasm and tenacity to strive for continuous improvement
  • Able to adapt quickly in changing environments
  • Prioritize and effectively manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across all levels of the business
  • Experience of influencing non-finance colleagues
  • Demonstrable experience of process improvement and stakeholder management
  • Ability to use own initiative and to adapt to changes in the industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA
Working Arrangements

You must be comfortable supporting multiple locations (Yorkshire and the North East) and be prepared to travel substantially, up to 70% of your time, within this role.
