As a Senior Technician, you will be part of a vibrant and dynamic team, working closely with academics and researchers to deliver cutting-edge teaching and research in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain, calibrate, and operate a variety of specialist equipment, including geological survey instruments and geophysical apparatus.
  2. Provide technical support for laboratory-based teaching, fieldwork, and research activities.
  3. Assist with the preparation and setup of practical classes, ensuring all equipment and materials are ready for use.
  4. Provide technical guidance and training to staff and students on the use of laboratory and field equipment.
  5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments as required.
  6. Manage equipment inventories and oversee the procurement of consumables and replacement parts.
  7. Collaborate with academic staff to develop innovative practical exercises and support research projects.
  8. Forklift driving experience preferable.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including access to our state-of-the-art facilities and opportunities for professional development.
