Job Overview

An excellent opportunity to contribute to the teaching team on the BA Psychology for Education programme at Birkbeck University of London.


As a Psychology and Education Specialist, you will contribute to the preparation, teaching, administration, and assessment of the Level 5 Psychology and Education: Integrating Theory and Practice module. Your main task will be to focus on the reflective practice element of the syllabus and will include an exploration of philosophies of education.


Key responsibilities include teaching, coursework assessment, and providing academic support to students. You will also be expected to engage in reflective practice and contribute to the development of the programme.


We are looking for a committed professional with a degree in Psychology and a good understanding of the application of psychology to the educational context. Relevant teaching experience, working with adult students within the HE sector, is also essential.


Requirements


• A degree in Psychology


• A good understanding of the application of psychology to the educational context, including reflective practice and philosophies of education


• Relevant teaching experience, working with adult students within the HE sector


Desirable


• Postgraduate degree/s in a relevant area such as educational psychology or education


• Professional experience in Educational Psychology and/or working with young people in the education sector


• A teaching qualification
