Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Educational Psychology Specialist Support Assistant to join our team at Philosophy Education. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with pupils, teachers, and other professionals to provide tailored support to children with identified behavioral and mental health needs.

About the Role

This is a full-time position available in primary and special educational needs (SEN) schools. You will be working one-to-one with pupils aged 5-11 years old who require ongoing support due to their SEMH, SEN, or ASD needs. Your role will involve supporting these pupils during lessons, mentoring sessions, and break times.

You will also have opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge through training on suitable interventions and approaches for managing challenging behaviors. As part of the child's support team, you will collaborate with the SENCO, senior management, therapists, healthcare professionals, and CAMHS to ensure comprehensive care for each pupil.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a psychology graduate with experience in CAMHS or child mental health services
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND or SEMH needs
What We Offer
