Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Project Manager to oversee the development and delivery of major transportation infrastructure schemes in the West Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to join Transport for West Midlands and contribute to the transformation of the region.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background in light rail or civil engineering projects, including the oversight of design activities, contract management, and commercial strategy. They will work closely with stakeholders to ensure delivery certainty and support Transport for West Midlands' vision for a best-in-class delivery authority.

About the Role

  • Manage and oversee detailed development and construction activities of major metro infrastructure projects.
  • Provide high-quality technical input and expertise to develop, shape, and deliver multi-disciplinary technical solutions across the field of light railway systems within complex urban environments.
  • Work with multiple partners and stakeholders to successfully deliver the project/s to budget and on programme.

Requirements

  • Proven technical knowledge in the oversight of design standards and best practice in detailed development and delivery of highway projects, including highway construction and urban realm, track form and alignment, signalling, OHLE, traction power, and network communications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and partnership working skills.

What We Offer
