Retail Technology Strategist

Huddle Search is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to spearhead the retail technology strategy for a global food and beverage chain. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping and executing the retail technology vision, ensuring that both front and back-of-house systems are innovative, reliable, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
As the Retail Technology Strategist, you will oversee a team of skilled professionals, driving the development and support of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. Your focus will include managing systems and platforms that support shop operations, ensuring seamless integration with franchise partners, and contributing to the broader digital transformation of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the retail technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's overall objectives and drives business growth.
- Lead innovation across retail technology functions, mentoring and guiding your team to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Manage the portfolio of retail systems, from point-of-sale to back-of-house operations, ensuring they deliver value, reliability, and scalability.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating new and emerging technologies into the company's technology roadmap and driving digital transformation.
- Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery that supports the company's business objectives.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in retail technology, ideally within a multi-site, franchise-based environment.
- Strong expertise in managing retail ecosystems, including point-of-sale systems, digital commerce, and customer loyalty programs.
- In-depth knowledge of the food and beverage industry, with an understanding of how technology can drive competitive advantage and business growth.
- Familiarity with both IT Service Management (ITSM) and agile methodologies, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
