About the Food Technologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Technologist to join our team at b3 Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our technical department, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and legal obligations of our food supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain our quality manual and food safety documents, ensuring compliance with current legislation and regulations.
  2. Support the successful completion of customer and third-party audits, and participate in the investigation of complaints and food safety close calls.
  3. Drive continuous improvement in our food safety practices, challenging hygiene standards and training relevant personnel.
  4. Gather and submit data for packaging waste regulations and EPR, maintaining accurate records.
  5. Collaborate with the technical department to develop and implement new processes and procedures.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a technical or quality background in food manufacturing. You will have a degree-level education in a related field and excellent numerical and analytical skills. You should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  1. Understanding of GMP and Global Food Safety Initiatives, production processes, raw materials, and finished products.
  2. Motivated and willing to take on new challenges, with a "can do" attitude and solution-focused approach.
  3. Enthusiastic and committed to maintaining high standards, with excellent administrative and communication skills.
  4. Good relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

What We Offer:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well-established business, with a competitive salary of £27,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. The role is based in Berkshire, with office hours Monday to Friday.
