Senior Finance Business Partner / Finance Manager

Hertfordshire (Hybrid - 3 days office)

£65,000 - £68,000 + Excellent Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We are seeking a driven Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) with experience in mentoring junior team members and the ability to act as a true Finance Business Partner to operational leaders, providing financial control, financial management, financial planning, and reporting.

The successful candidate will be a pivotal part of the leadership team and must be comfortable expressing their opinion and appropriately challenging the team to drive optimal business/financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Management and support to the development of the wider team.
  2. Assist in the preparation of the multi-year business plan and annual budgets.
  3. Reporting KPI's on a timely basis, achievement against these targets, including preparation of financial year forecasts.
  4. Providing financial reporting and management of major projects including margin management, tracking revenue, cost management, cash management, and customer reporting/interfacing.
  5. Working with clients, external advisors, and auditors to maintain integrity of project financials.
  6. As a key Finance Business Partner, act as a key member of the leadership team, promoting financial awareness and ensuring projects are delivered to budget and planned performance.
  7. Provide financial support to commercial teams, providing robust financial insight and assistance.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA with post-qualification experience or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience of both financial control, financial planning, and finance business partnering ideally with a project accounting environment or similar.
  3. Comfortable working closely & communicating effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues.
  4. Pro-active leader of change, willing to bring new ideas and experiences to the team and influence ways of working across finance and non-finance areas.
