About the Role

This is a shift-based leadership position that will oversee a team of operators, electrical and mechanical technicians based at our manufacturing facility. We're looking for individuals who embody our values, are not afraid to challenge the status quo, innovate, experiment, and work at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for front-line leadership of the teams to ensure optimum safety, quality, machine efficiency, and machine performance through ensuring correct running standards.
  • You will also be responsible for managing the skill development of the teams – setting out and delivering on capability development plans focused on skills manufacturing.
  • Regular 1:1 meetings with team members, managing time and attendance, and addressing any performance-related issues.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar industry (FMCG) operating at a Team Leader level.
  • Experience with accountability for people management and development, safety, and quality.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, LEAN, 5S).
  • A forward thinker, able to resolve problems and create an environment of learning and skill development in a busy production environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – effective communicator, active listener, and able to give constructive feedback.
  • Proven experience of delivering successfully in a change environment.
