About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Front Counter team as a Police Enquiry Officer (PEO). As a key member of our policing front line, you will play a vital role in helping members of the public across Surrey report incidents and crimes.

As a PEO, you will be responsible for dealing with a variety of enquiries throughout your shift, no two days are the same. You will work closely with colleagues to respond to each contact in a timely way and contribute to making our communities feel safe, by inspiring trust and confidence in the Police.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and progress in your career. The salary for this role is £27,545 per annum, plus a shift allowance of £1,768, totaling £29,313 per annum.

Due to the nature of our start and finish times and the requirement that you travel across the county, it is essential that you have your own transport. You will also be required to work a 7-week rotating shift pattern, consisting of early shifts (0745-1545), mid shifts (1000-1900) and late shifts (1315-2215).

Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience using Windows-based packages.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
