Litigation Claims Specialist

The Clinical Negligence Management Lead will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Trust's Claims / Inquests function. This includes investigating and coordinating clinical and non-clinical claims, as well as managing priorities effectively and supporting continuous improvement in the quality of services.
Main Duties:- Day-to-day management of the Trust's Claims / Inquests function to ensure claims are effectively managed in accordance with the Trust's Claims Policy and legal obligations.
- Work closely with the Trust's solicitors and NHSR claims handlers to challenge decisions where appropriate and protect the Trust from unwarranted criticism.
- Develop and implement an annual programme of work and development plan for the Claims / Inquests team.
- Demonstrable experience of managing legal services, including claims and inquests.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and internet.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and report writing skills.
- Successful objective setting, staff management, and performance management.
