Working in partnership with the local authority, the home will provide child-centered care to young people who need specific support and safeguarding. A working day in a Residential Childcare setting can be unpredictable with varying duties. The role of Residential Youth Support Worker for young people with complex needs can be challenging and will require staff members to work as a team and be confident in responding to and safeguarding the young people in our care.
**Please note**:
Ofsted regulations outline that support workers working with children and young people must be 3 years older than the oldest young person within the home e.g., if a young person in the home was turning 18, you would need to be 21 at a minimum.
