Environmental Officer Opportunity

Irwin & Colton is seeking an experienced Environmental professional to join their team as an Environment Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment, with a business that is passionate about their work.

About the Role

The successful Environment Officer will be responsible for providing onsite support for a major infrastructure project, managing environmental risks and impacts, as well as waste management and climate mitigation. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the health, safety and environment team through managing on site environment risks and impacts
  2. Co-ordinating and communicating environmental activities across the business
  3. Providing administrative assistance and technical support with regards to the HSEQ function
  4. General administration for the team, organising and collating data relevant to ISO standards

Requirements

The successful Environment Officer will have:

  1. Experience in a similar environmental role and has previously worked with ISO
  2. Degree level qualification or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline, and ideally hold (or working towards) a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
  3. Excellent communications skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
