About the Role

5S Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Technician to join their dynamic team at a well-established technical injection moulding manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage direct reporting staff and oversee machinery to meet production and quality targets.
  • Set and operate injection moulding machines to achieve consistent production to approved standards.
  • Collaborate with the Section Leader and fellow Technicians to ensure effective production handovers and communication of relevant issues.
  • Perform tool and colour changes, troubleshoot, and accurately diagnose process faults.
  • Identify opportunities for and contribute to the company's continuous improvement plan.
  • Follow company procedures to safely mount and bolt mould tools into machines.
  • Take overall responsibility for the quality of the products produced, adhering to the company's quality systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist with 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the company.
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards, including the upkeep and hygiene of machines.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, discipline, service, cost, and productivity are upheld on shift.
Requirements
  • Proven experience within injection moulding manufacturing with a strong background in precision tool setting.
  • Industry-recognized injection moulding qualifications.
  • Proficiency in operating machines and robots.
  • Results-driven, with the ability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of injection moulding processes, applications, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with proven experience in root cause analysis.
