Job Purpose:

To deliver high-quality technical drawings and documentation in support of engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce complex drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) systems, including AutoCAD.
  • Represent EMCOR UK as the key point of contact for stakeholders associated with drawing office and document requests.
  • Operate under limited supervision to produce drawings in support of engineering projects in critical and validated environments.
  • Custodian of customer UK technical libraries, implementing a life-cycle management process for equipment files and associated data.
  • Interface with EMCOR and customer staff to produce complete engineering drawing layout packages and control the quality and integrity of validated and critical space drawings.
  • Provide regular reports on progress and escalate issues as required to the Workplace Manager.
  • Carry out on-site surveys of plant, equipment, and buildings to prepare high-quality drawings upon request.
  • Update existing records and create new drawings from engineers' sketches and specifications to accurately represent modifications.
  • Utilize latest AutoCAD 3D tools.
  • Maintain documentation library of paper and electronic documents, including O&M manuals, change control documents, project turnover records, validation/qualification records, facilities, plant, and equipment maintenance, and their histories, to meet compliance requirements.
Leadership and Communication:
  • Lead internal teams and task forces, complying with and enforcing standard policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel, fostering client ties and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Provide project support for minor works and capital projects, reviewing new manuals and communicating issues to the Project Manager.
  • Assist EMCOR compliance team in audits or performance reviews when requested.
Health and Safety:
  • Work safely, highlighting any HSE issues and reporting SORs (Safety Observation Reports).
  • Comply with and help enforce standard policies and procedures related to health and safety.
Person Specification:
  • Accredited user of AutoCAD (version 2013) onwards with a good understanding of 3D tools, preferably the Autodesk Building Design Suite.
  • Diploma or degree in a related subject or a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering/manufacturing companies, technical environments, and/or life science regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of working in regulatory and compliance areas.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in drawing office software applications.
  • A knowledge and understanding of building services and project management procedures, which can impact on the effectiveness of the service delivery.
  • Computer literate, with working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Significant and demonstrable ability to initiate processes and procedures.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good trouble shooter and problem solver.
