Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team of innovative data engineers. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating with a talented team to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Be based in Leeds, with easy access to the city centre and free parking
- Maintain a broad knowledge of the technology landscape to provide market-leading consultancy services
- Assist clients in enterprise-scale projects using best-practice development methodologies
- Write clean, well-tested code that is elegant and efficient
- Work closely with a team of high-calibre engineers to translate user requirements into working code
- Mentor and assist in the progress of others, sharing your expertise and knowledge
- Lead the definition and maintenance of best practice and standards in development and design principles and process
- Develop excellent teamwork, leadership and communication skills
- Strong web and server-side development experience
- Understanding of data modelling, from 3NF through to denormalisation for analysis
- Working knowledge of software development delivery in a Scrum environment
- Broad knowledge of IT, including networking, platform, hardware and security
- Experience of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Working knowledge of at least one Cloud provider (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS)
