Fire Safety Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Inspector to join our team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). As a Fire Safety Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with fire safety laws and regulations in Greater Manchester.
As a key member of our Protection Department, you will be responsible for auditing premises, providing advice and guidance to responsible persons, and taking enforcement action where necessary. You will work closely with our partners to ensure that fire safety is considered in their work, and you will be involved in complex enforcement, including carrying out investigations.
Our team is based at various locations across Greater Manchester, and you will need to be prepared to work across the region. This role attracts an essential car user allowance, and you must have a valid driving license and be able to provide a vehicle for work purposes.
About YouWe are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to think analytically, problem-solve, and plan and manage a busy workload. You should be able to provide evidence of your ability to work as part of a team, develop relationships with partners, and have a co-operative and flexible approach to work.
You should also have experience in delivering service improvements and be able to provide examples of how you have achieved this in your previous roles.
