Job Title: Fire Safety Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Inspector to join our team at Great Places Housing Group. As a Fire Safety Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our residents and staff by conducting property inspections, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing effective solutions and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property inspections to identify fire safety risks and hazards
  • Develop and implement fire safety plans and procedures
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on fire safety matters
  • Prepare schedules of work, specifications, and procurement documents for fire safety projects

Requirements:

  • BAFE or other fire-related qualification
  • Member of BIFM or equivalent body (not essential)
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent
  • Technical knowledge of emergency lighting, fire detection systems, AOVs, and lift maintenance
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance legislation relating to fire safety
  • Experience in contract management and delivery
  • Experience in budget setting and management
