Job Title: Harness Quality Specialist

Job Summary

The Harness Quality Specialist role is responsible for ensuring that all products leaving the production department meet the specified requirements and completing relevant documentation. This includes ensuring that the product meets customer's requirements at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing, and taking corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the product meets customer's requirements at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing and taking corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues.
  • Report quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages.
  • Carry out product tests and thorough independent final inspection of finished assemblies to defined procedures, formally reporting all defects.
  • Ensure all associated documentation is received, completed, and stored in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all BMS requirements.
  • Responsible for checking, progressing, and collating accurate build and inspection records.
  • Goods Inwards, and Production line Quality support activities.
  • Inspect all components and all stages of the manufacturing process as required.
  • Support and participate in process improvement activities.
  • Alert the Quality Assurance department of ongoing problems and deliver resolutions.
  • Ensure Environmental Health & Safety policy is always adhered to.
  • Promote Environmental Health & Safety awareness.
  • Responsible for adhering to EHS procedures & policies to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in end of line inspection.
  • Demonstrable experience in harness manufacture.
  • Familiar with Motorsport System 25 specification/standard.
  • Familiar with Cirris cable and harness tester.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office and applications (i.e. MS Excel, MS Power Point, SharePoint Online).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and adaptive.
  • Willingness to take on roles, responsibilities, and challenges required to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Excellent problem definition and analytical skills.
  • Able to Prioritise and organise project workloads, schedules, and tasks.
  • Ability to multitask based on customer scheduled delivery priorities.
  • Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external clients.
  • Must be a team player.
Desirable
  • Ability to program Cirris cable and harness tester.
  • Awareness of automotive OEM manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Experience with Low Volume / Prototype build manufacturing System or Knowledge.
