Lead Security Engineer (VP) Opportunity

Barclay Simpson is seeking a highly experienced Lead Security Engineer (VP) to manage a team of 5 security engineers and own a portfolio of services. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team and have security engineering experience gained in a large, regulated enterprise, preferably in the financial services, pharmaceuticals, or telecoms sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 5 security engineers and manage a portfolio of services.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage security technologies, including vulnerability management tooling (Tenable).
  • Develop and implement automation, optimisation, and reporting on key metrics to internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing a team and security engineering in a large, regulated enterprise.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management tooling (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or similar).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
