Salary: Grade 3 (FTE range £25,119 - £31,364)
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic outdoor education professional to join our team at Broadway Academy at Island Pool, Worcestershire. As an Outdoor Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and running day-to-day activities at our outdoor education site, Holt Heath, Worcestershire.
The Site
Our outdoor education site, Island Pool, comprises a campsite, woodland, and lake on Top Barn Farm in Worcestershire, leased by the Academy from Top Barn Trust. The site includes:
- An outdoor classroom, seating 50
- A fishing lake with 10 canoes
- An authentic roundhouse with firepit
- A small kitchen
- Showers and toilets
- Sleeping accommodation for up to 34 (tents and cabins)
The Role
As an Outdoor Education Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and running day-to-day activities at Island Pool, including liaising with activity providers as needed
- Leading and delivering outdoor education provision at the site, including water-based activities
- Maintaining the site, including grounds maintenance
- Being responsible for record keeping and health and safety onsite and around the site
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic outdoor education professional with a strong commitment to outdoor education. You will have a proven track record of managing and delivering outdoor education programmes, as well as experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including students, teachers, and external partners.
