Mechatronics Specialist

Join Macstaff as a Mechatronics Specialist in their cutting-edge engineering team. With a competitive salary of £50,000-£56,000 + package, you will be part of a renowned global aerospace, defence & security engineering innovator.

The role involves designing and developing mechatronic systems, where you will work closely with the RD&D department to create innovative solutions for defence systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a subject matter expert in mechatronics to support the work of the RD&D department.
• Preparing proposals for product development, including project plans, resource scheduling, and costing.
• Liaising with suppliers and leading development programmes with them.
• Collaborating with electronic component suppliers as an interface between CCM and them.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A degree or equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Experience as a senior-level Mechatronics Engineer or Electromechanical Engineer.
• Skills in designing mechatronic products and experience with electronic design 3D CAD.
• Project management experience and knowledge of collating and writing risk assessments.
