Close Brothers Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Financial Control function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all tax affairs for the division, ensuring tax compliance and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:- VAT: Prepare CBAM VAT returns for UK entities, ensuring MTD compliance, and present returns to the Finance Leadership team for approval.
- Corporation Tax: Prepare month-end corporation tax accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and collate tax computations and returns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Senior Accounting Officer: Ensure adequate controls are in place across the business, maintain documentation, and prepare the annual Senior Accounting Officer pack.
- Professional qualification in accounting/tax (e.g., ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, ATT)
- Proven experience in a Tax function, preferably in the financial services sector
- Experience in Direct and Indirect Taxes, with previous experience dealing with HMRC
- Advanced Excel skills and good commercial awareness
- Excellent attention to detail and team player
