We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Spinal and Orthopaedic Team at Royal Devon University Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care, support, and advice for children and families under the care of the paediatric spinal surgery service.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the wards in co-ordinating the care of patients throughout their pathway, from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up care.
  • Work closely with all wards to ensure the best possible care for patients while they are inpatients.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients and their families during the transition from hospital to home, including lifestyle adaptations and secondary prevention.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have recent experience of nursing children within the paediatric sector or in the Orthopaedic spinal speciality. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to develop and sustain partnership working with individual groups, communities, and agencies.
