Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Design Engineer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for power transmission and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the control scheme team and provide training support to new colleagues.
  • Develop and design functional design specifications and design intent documents.
  • Design schematics for control systems and ensure compliance with customer technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external design engineers to provide complete solutions.
  • Provide technical input for pre-sales activities and resolve technical issues on allocated projects.
  • Attend internal and external design reviews and provide technical input.

Requirements:

  • Experience in National Grid delivery and/or Control / Automation background.
  • A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry.
  • Experience in scheme design of medium to large scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems, and communication infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings on control and protection systems.
