Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our team at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative tissue preservation methods for high-quality live nervous system tissues and contributing to the distribution of these tissues nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing novel tissue preservation techniques
  • Collaborating with researchers to share tissue samples and pool resources
  • Contributing to the development of new research projects and generating research income

Requirements:

  • PhD/DPhil in Biomaterials or Biochemical Engineering
  • Relevant experience in 3D cell/tissue culture, bioreactor design, or perfusion culture systems
  • Strong specialist knowledge in tissue preservation methods
  • Excellent track record in publishing in high-impact journals
