Project Engineer / Project Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer / Project Lead to join our team at a leading supplier of critical power equipment. As a Project Engineer / Project Lead, you will be responsible for managing small telemetry projects and transitioning into overseeing complex Generator and UPS installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage electrical/mechanical projects from handover to completion, ensuring specifications, timelines, and budget constraints are met.
  • Have overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of all jobs.
  • Oversee small UPS and generator installations and upgrades.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical and financial quotes for Generators and UPS systems, managing projects through to successful delivery.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as Project Engineer, Junior Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Team Leader, Project Leader, Project Manager, or similar role within the critical power industry.
  • A technical electrical/mechanical engineering qualification; Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or degree would be advantageous.
  • Experience in managing small to medium sized projects.

This role provides the opportunity to grow into full-scale project management within the critical power and UPS systems sector, working with a dedicated team to ensure reliable power solutions for clients. The successful candidate must be commutable to site near Portsmouth.
