Community Health and Eyecare (CHEC) is an independent service provider specialising in Ophthalmology and Endoscopy services, supporting the National Health Service (NHS). Our bespoke state-of-the-art surgical centres provide end-to-end care for patients through NHS partnerships.
We are seeking a highly motivated Optical Care Professional to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will work alongside our clinical team in the day-to-day running of eye care clinics, carrying out diagnostic examinations while maintaining high-quality care for all patients.
Job Description- Assist in the running of pre- and post-operative clinics.
- Act as a theatre runner/escort, ensuring patients receive the highest quality care and our theatre team is assisted during surgery.
- Support patients throughout their journey with CHEC and report any concerns.
As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is checked and ready for use, preparing areas prior to clinical activities, and adhering to good record-keeping and high standards of quality patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Natural ability to empathise with patients and demonstrate a genuine care.
- Desire to provide the very best quality and safe patient care.
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
