Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

About the Role:
Career Makers is seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Waste Management Machinery Engineer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a variety of machinery, with a focus on electrical maintenance (70%) and mechanical maintenance (30%).
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, including the Erema extrusion machine, PRP small extrusion machine, and granulating machines.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance overall machinery performance and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a focus on waste management machinery.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work as required by statutory regulations.
