About the Role

We are seeking a skilled SEM/SCL Shift Engineer to join our Protecnium team in Toronto, Canada.

The successful candidate will be working on a subway/tunnel project with an estimated duration of 24 months. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective safety protocols to ensure a zero-harm work environment.
  2. Conduct daily HSE inspections and document findings, taking corrective action as necessary.
  3. Prepare comprehensive documentation for all construction stages, including excavation, temporary supports, reinforcement, pre- and post-pour checks.
  4. Coordinate with surveyors to review and approve as-built drawings and consolidate QA documents into complete packages.
  5. Manage the procurement of necessary materials and equipment, including shotcrete, hauling trucks, reinforcement, and concrete.
  6. Verify material deliveries, maintain detailed records, and submit resource logs within 24 hours.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a SEM Engineer in tunnel/railway/heavy civil construction projects or similar.
  • A bachelor's degree or studies in Civil Engineering/Geological/ Geotechnical or similar.
Work Environment

Monday to Friday: 12-hour rotational shifts (day and night shifts).
