As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of psychiatry services.
About the RoleAs a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult mental health patients. Your skills and experience will be essential in shaping the strategic management plan for patients, utilizing your therapeutic skills to develop constructive pathways to recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive new referral assessments, deliver therapy, or refer to psychology colleagues for relevant interventions.
- Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as keeping records of test results, writing prescriptions, and monitoring treatment plans.
- Collaborate with junior doctors and medical students, as well as other multidisciplinary team members, to provide education and training.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent qualification.
- Hold CCT or CESR at the time of interview or in an established training programme and within six months of CCT.
- Inclusion on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR (CP) at interview.
