About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Strategic Planning Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving forward the implementation and delivery of cancer services transformation across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Velindre NHST.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely with the Programme Director for Strategic Clinical Redesign, CAVUHB and the Assistant Director of Planning, VNHST, to drive forward approaches for the implementation and delivery of the cancer services transformation agenda across Cardiff & Vale UHB and Velindre NHST.

Key responsibilities include leading dedicated planning support for key elements of the service transformation agenda across CAV UHB and with partners across South East Wales, and supporting the Head of Strategic Planning to continually develop and mature the UHB's approach to strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Senior management experience within a large complex NHS organization with an ability to command credibility.
  • Leadership, influencing, and team building skills.
  • Project and programme management.
  • Extensive understanding of the issues facing the Welsh NHS, including an awareness and understanding of the current key government policy agenda.
