Fabric Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Maintenance Engineer to join our team at https://www.energyjobline.com/sitemap. As a Fabric Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking all building fabric activities, with repairs undertaken where necessary to achieve the highest level of service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled, including fire alarm and sprinkler tests, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, AHU maintenance, generator testing, and fire door inspections.
  • Conduct monthly utilities meter readings and respond to reactive repairs as needed.
  • Perform minor building fabric repairs, including basic carpentry, carpet tiling, locks, paving, and minor decorating tasks.
  • Support external landscaping and cleaning as required and maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders.
  • Comply fully with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and provide excellent customer service to building occupants.
  • Proactively walk the floors, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience within a similar position within a maintenance environment, holding relevant qualifications such as a time-served apprenticeship, C&G, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of toolbox talks, Permit to Work procedures, and safe systems of working.
  • Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights, and the use of access equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication and ability to use computers.
  • Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge.
  • MEWPS/Scaffold Towers (IPAF 1b, 3a, 3b) License desired.
  • Legionella awareness and L8 training.

Week 1: Monday - Friday - 07:00am - 16:00pm

Week 2: Monday - Friday - 07:00am - 16:00pm

Week 3: Monday & Tuesday - 07:00am - 16:00pm / Wednesday - 07:00am - 11:30am (1/2 day) / Thursday & Friday - Off

Week 4: Saturday - 07:30 - 19:30 / Sunday - 09:30am - 17:30pm / Monday - Friday - 11:30am - 20:30pm (On Call week)
