At More Community Leisure Trust, our goal is to increase physical activity and improve health outcomes across our communities. To achieve this, we are seeking a Health and Wellbeing Manager to develop and implement our strategy across all facilities.
You will work closely with stakeholders and partners to impact local communities by developing targeted activities and programmes that are accessible and promoted through various mediums.
Your main responsibilities:
- Create and implement community-based initiatives that promote health and wellbeing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organisations and partners to ensure access to children and families.
- Contribute to the development of active environments through the delivery of local and strategic place-based interventions.
- Network and build relationships with Integrated Care Systems, allied health professionals, and social care services to impact our strategy and business.
- Understand the strategic aims of UK Active, CIMSPA, and other key stakeholders in relation to health and wellbeing and the opportunities they bring.
- Build and maintain relationships with Voluntary Sector Partners, Government Departments, and Health Bodies.
- Work with the Business Development Team to respond to bid documentation and develop community programming, activity, and social inclusion projects.
- Understand the direction of public health by working across the Integrated Care System and involved in the Integrated Care Boards.
What you'll need to do the role:
- Hold a degree in a relevant field, such as leisure management or health, with experience in this field.
- Proven experience of developing meaningful working relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and customers.
- Significant and appropriate experience in developing Community and Wellbeing initiatives in leisure and other public settings.
- Proven experience of successfully implementing place-based community programmes with exceptional results.
- Experience developing operating budgets and a proven track record of achieving key performance measures.
- Successful contributor to a senior management team in a fast-growing business environment.
- Experience of working in a role covering a large geography.
- Hold a UK Driving License and be prepared to travel.
