Procurement Director

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Procurement to join our team at Maxim Recruitment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large, multidisciplinary construction consultancy based in their Bristol office.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (such as roads, rail), Mining & Minerals, and other Natural Resources. They will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement services to public and private sector clients, with a focus on central and local government, defence, infrastructure, power and utilities.
The Associate Director Procurement will lead a highly skilled team of strategic procurement professionals and will be responsible for providing specialist procurement strategy advice to clients. They will also lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes, and will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of the procurement services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tender preparation, development and management, ideally including negotiation. They will also have experience working in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (roads, rail), Mining, Oil & Gas sectors, and will be able to lead and develop key strategies and documentation for major procurement projects that complies with Public Sector Regulations or equivalent.
The company offers a competitive salary up to £85k (DOE), car allowance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension scheme, health insurance, medical insurance, and life insurance.
