Community Development Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Development Lead to join our team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust. As a Community Development Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing projects predominantly in Southwark and South London, collaborating with stakeholders to create lasting social value.
The successful candidate will have experience managing impactful projects, fostering social value, and engaging with diverse communities. They will also possess strong stakeholder management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to measure and report on project outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating thriving, vibrant communities and driving meaningful impact. You will work closely with internal teams, local authorities, and third-sector organisations to deliver area-based interventions that align with our strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage community projects with a focus on operational excellence and social value.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver area-based interventions that align with our strategic priorities.
- Build strong relationships with residents, community groups, and voluntary organisations to ensure their voices shape our initiatives.
- Work with internal teams, local authorities, and supply chain partners to deliver community initiatives, ensuring compliance with Section 106 planning obligations.
- Manage local grants and oversee project budgets, ensuring compliance with funding conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, using insights to identify areas for improvement and shape future initiatives that deliver measurable benefits.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes generous annual leave, excellent pension scheme, health cash plan, life assurance, employee assistance programme, recognition bonus scheme, family-friendly policies, and diverse networking groups. We also offer up to 21 hours per year to volunteer with the charity of your choice.
