Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our Delivery team in Burham, Kent. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating an effective and economic plant design and procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure project costs are managed within budget.
  2. Assist in developing the Project Management strategy.
  3. Collaborate with the Project Manager to produce a contract programme.
  4. Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals.
  5. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  6. Monitor subcontract performance and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry changes and innovations through continuous professional development.
  8. Work closely with design departments to ensure timely progression of quality solutions.
  9. Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basis.
About the Candidate:
  1. Basic engineering background (Electrical or Mechanical) is essential.
  2. Working knowledge of various conditions of contract, especially NEC, is required.
  3. Engineering/Technical qualification (HNC minimum) is necessary.
  4. Knowledge of water treatment processes is essential.
  5. Contract Management, Risk, Opportunities, and Issue Management, Project Planning, Digital Delivery, Quality Management, and Coaching and Providing Feedback are key skills required.
