About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Specialist to join our team at Beat My Salary. This is a unique opportunity to take your career to the next level and work with a dynamic company that values innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide general and routine technical support to our virtual infrastructure, including installation, patching, configuration, and updates. Troubleshoot problems effectively to meet established performance metrics.
  • Procedure Maintenance: Maintain documented procedures for OS Infrastructure, ensuring seamless disaster recovery processes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems.
  • On-Call Availability: Work 24 x 7 shift hours, being available on-call to resolve critical issues promptly.
  • Coordination: Actively coordinate with team members and other groups to perform Windows Server and administration support for daily operations.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Data Center Operations: Ensure effective management of day-to-day 24x7 Datacenter Operations.
  • Cloud Hosting Experience: Have experience with AWS, Azure, IBM Softlayer, etc., and be familiar with cloud hosting.
  • Total IT Experience: Possess total IT experience of 12-15 years, with a minimum of the last 8 years in DC Operations and Cloud Administration.
  • Workflows and Throughput: Manage and improve workflows and throughput for Data Center Operations.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Be a subject matter expert in Data Center and Cloud Operations.
  • KPIs and Metrics: Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met inside Data Center(s).
  • Innovation and Automation: Play a key part in innovation and driving automation within Data Center Cloud services.
  • Customer Experience: Strive to improve customer experience through quality and quantity of services provided by Data Center Operations and Cloud support teams.
  • Large-Scale Events: Manage large-scale events in Data Center(s).
  • Vendor Management: Part of an on-call rotation for Data Center issue escalations and manage vendor performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and procedures in Data Center.
  • Server Hardware Maintenance: Knowledge of server hardware maintenance/troubleshooting across multiple server vendors.
  • Operating System Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Windows administration, Linux/Unix, network, and storage systems.
  • Certifications: Either Windows 2012 MCSE or Linux/Unix certification and administration experience, professional certification in two or more public cloud offerings, including AWS, and ITIL certification.
  • Data Mining and Analysis: Solid data mining and analysis skills, high literacy in security and customer data protection, and network certification - CCNP, Network+.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent English verbal and written proficiency, solid communication skills (decision making, confrontation management, commitment, coaching the team), project management skills, people management skills, plan upgrades and patching, and build scripts.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
