Position Overview

RM Recruit is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Finance Manager to join a dynamic organization based in Tamworth. This full-time, permanent role provides a flexible hybrid working model, allowing for two days in the office and three days remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management Accounts: Prepare detailed monthly management accounts, budget reports, and forecasting documents for designated schools, ensuring precision and alignment with financial objectives.
  • Financial Procedures: Execute or assist in comprehensive month-end and year-end processes, including the reconciliation of purchase orders, management of prepayments and accruals, and accurate income tracking to uphold financial integrity.
  • Strategic Meetings: Facilitate monthly strategic discussions with Head Teachers, HR, and key stakeholders to evaluate budget management, forecasting, and financial planning, promoting collaboration and informed decision-making.
  • Budget Development: Create and prepare detailed annual budgets and forecasts, delivering essential financial insights to aid long-term planning and resource distribution.
  • Supplier Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations of suppliers and perform critical back-office checks to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Industry Awareness: Remain well-informed about the latest developments in the educational sector, assessing their potential implications on the organization's financial and operational strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and enhancing overall team performance.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess ACCA or CIMA qualifications, or be part-qualified, with relevant experience in a similar capacity. Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to accuracy are essential. Proven experience in team leadership, preparing monthly management accounts, and building robust relationships is crucial. The ability to work autonomously, collaborate effectively, and meet stringent deadlines is imperative.
