The Site Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Northern department by providing UK-wide site-based coordination and management of internal and sub-contracted multi-disciplined labour for secured projects. This will involve scoping, surveying, and pricing tenders across the UK, generating quotations, ordering materials, and assisting the wider project team as required.

The role is client-facing, requiring a presentable and professional approach at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Fit-Out & MEP or Civil Projects to an extremely high standard.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer care in all instances.
  3. Support Project Managers in chairing site meetings, driving outcomes, and ensuring the production of accurate records of discussions, actions, and deadlines.
  4. Understand client requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements holistically.
  5. Assist with programming, scheduling of works, and labour allocation.
  6. Support Project Managers with the delivery of regular progress reports, including programme drop lines for issue to project stakeholders.
  7. Familiarity with producing onsite dilapidations and completion of validations.
  8. Drive the close-out of items raised, including RFI's, TQ's, and other project-related documentation.
  9. Liaise with colleagues to gain a full understanding of project requirements.
  10. Make sound business decisions under pressure.
  11. Apply logical and lateral thinking to problem-solving.
  12. Communicate effectively, driven, focused, tenacious, and conscientious.
  13. Manage time effectively, delegate tasks, and prioritize key tasks and workload when working to strict deadlines.
  14. Coordinate work packages, understanding the interaction of trades and foreseeing potential issues.
  15. Lead by example, promoting the highest standards of HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations, and legislative requirements.
  16. Assist the H&S Team and Project Managers with the generation of CDM PCI, CPP, and site plans where relevant.
  17. Be willing to learn and adapt to new ways of working.
  18. Contribute to the growth of the business by driving the company's vision, values, and work ethic.
  19. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to reduce cost, add value, and maximize profit.
  20. Oversee and coordinate the mobilization of projects.
  21. Review sub-contractor RAMS and generate GML proforma documents for submission to the client.
  22. Deliver Toolbox talks, Pre-start briefings, and CDM inductions where relevant.
  23. Promote Group Metropolitans' Rules and establish safe working cultures and practices.
