We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Preston, Lancashire, UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of process drawings, production of calculations, and checking of others\u2019 work to ensure design deliverables are produced to a high standard and compliant with all relevant internal and client procedures.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop process drawings, including process flow diagrams and process & instrumentation diagrams/engineering flow diagrams. \t
  • Produce calculations, including mass, energy, and flow balances, using MS Excel, MathCAD, Pipenet, Aspen Custom Modeler, or other software as required. \t
  • Check the work of others to ensure design deliverables are produced to a high standard and compliant with all relevant internal and client procedures. \t
  • Produce technical documents, such as basis of design, testing strategies/schedules, method statements, etc. \t
  • Take ownership of design deliverables throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning phases of a project and ensure that the design intent is maintained. \t
  • Produce and check CDM risk registers. \t
  • Produce and check documentation required for technical files of new products/plant and equipment. \t
  • Present technical solutions to clients and others in both formal and informal settings, allowing for a broad range of technical knowledge in any audience. \t
  • Present technical solutions at design reviews and HAZOPs. \t
  • Support in the development of project safety case, including HAZID and HAZOP attendance, production of basis of safety documents (hazard management strategy), and engineering substantiation (design/engineering justification). \t
  • Develop estimates, deliverables required, and programme logic at bid/tender stage. While also providing input into cost to complete. \t
  • Manage a team of engineers/designers to deliver the engineering scope as required by the project. \t
  • Mentor a team of engineers/designers to improve their own skill sets and enhance the company\u2019s capabilities. \t
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with key counterparts in client or partner organizations. \t
  • Produce and assess concessions and technical queries. \t
  • Prepare and review quality plans for single discipline work packages.
