Key Responsibilities

The Model Risk Officer, VP/Director will be responsible for coordinating the Model Risk Management functions and the local RISQ Management teams. This includes supporting RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk related topics, escalating questions or concerns raised by local model users, and cooperating with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes and trends.

Key Governance and Roadmap Responsibilities

The Model Risk Officer, VP/Director will establish a robust and clear MRM governance framework in the UK, particularly for the needs of the local implementation of the group model inventory processes. This includes clarifying the roles and responsibilities of local stakeholders and formalizing local processes and procedures.

Key Model Risk Oversight Responsibilities

The Model Risk Officer, VP/Director will oversee the UK based execution of the model Inventory process, led by RISQ/GBR's COO team. This includes participating in the Group's Model Risk Management Committee for all critical models.

Requirements

  • Broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
  • Autonomous and raising alerts appropriately to management where required.
  • Experience in previous roles on Risk management and ideally on Model Risk.
  • Very good command of written and oral English.
  • Some familiarity with French useful.
