Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our client, a prominent Retail firm, on a permanent basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a challenging and rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure global reporting compliance requirements are met through close collaboration with 3rd party accounting partners.
  • Oversee the consolidation process, including translation of foreign operations and significant intra-group stock movements.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly group management accounts for the board and banks.
  • Analyse balance sheet and cash flow variances, documenting explanations from the reporting team.

Cash and Risk Management

  • Manage the Group's cash effectively, ensuring sufficient funds to service business needs.
  • Oversight foreign currency risks from buying and selling in multiple currencies.

Statutory Reporting and Audits

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and UK subsidiary financial statements.
  • Lead project management of Group and UK external statutory audits, managing delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with audit and accounting providers to ensure ongoing compliance and maximised value.

Team Leadership

  • Day-to-day running of the Transactional Finance Team (5 direct reports), ensuring high data quality.
Requirements

We are looking for a skilled accountant with:

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA status.
  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE and 2 years' experience within industry within a Group team.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities.
  • Experience in multi-currency consolidations, preferably with a multinational group or national audit practice.
Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum
