About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Sport and Public Services to join our team at Blackburn College. As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to our students, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of subjects within the Sport and Public Services curriculum, including FE and HE levels.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans, ensuring that students meet their learning objectives.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Sport and Public Services programmes within the Technical Centre.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high standard of quality provision is offered.
Requirements
  • A Level 4 or equivalent qualification in a relevant industry area.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to complete within 2 years of employment).
  • Current industrial experience in an appropriate discipline and/or up to-date knowledge of current industrial practice.
  • Experience of teaching a wide range of levels, evidenced by high achievement rates.
