About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fibre Network Specialist to join our team in Manchester. As a Senior Network Designer, you will play a crucial part in the Networks Department's success, reporting directly to the Head of Networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design and Planning: Prepare technical designs, costings, and build data packs for optimal route and cabinet placement.
  • Cost Estimation and Reporting: Create initial area interest reports and costing estimates for executive review.
  • Network Architecture and Compliance: Design networks according to FTTP fibre architecture standards and ensure compliance with guidelines and codes of practice.
  • Innovation and Quality: Develop and champion innovative network topologies and maintain high data quality standards in asset and customer management systems.


What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 4 years' experience in a fibre designer role, preferably with a degree-level education or 5+ years of senior management experience. You should also have 5 years' experience working in the telecoms industry, a proven record of accomplishment in delivering results in a fast-paced, complex workspace, excellent communication and influencing skills, strategic and tactical direction-setting capabilities, and familiarity with innovative network topologies and cost-effective design principles.
