Teaching Assistant Opportunity for Special Educational Needs Pupils

GSL Education - Southampton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team at a friendly secondary school near Rowlands Castle. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have complex learning difficulties and a passion for creating positive relationships with children.

About the Role:

  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Work with pupils across KS 2-4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support small groups of pupils with learning tasks under the guidance of a teacher.
  • Work with pupils who have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety and Speech and Language delay.

Requirements:

  • DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
