GSL Education are looking for a motivated and caring 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Eastleigh. This role offers an exciting chance to work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs, ensuring they receive the tailored guidance they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide personalised one-on-one support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism and social-emotional challenges.
Work closely with teachers and fellow SEN staff to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
Assist with behaviour management, helping to maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements for the 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role:
Proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, including physical disabilities, language disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or special education.
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN strategies and best practices.
To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
