We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will work at senior middle grade level with appropriate levels of supervision from named senior Consultant specialist surgeons undertaking high volumes of Orthopaedic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake high volumes of Orthopaedic procedures, including soft tissue and arthroplasty knee surgery, and primary and revision hip surgery.
- Work at senior middle grade level with appropriate levels of supervision from named senior Consultant specialist surgeons.
- Develop and implement clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in research programs and contribute to the development of new treatments and technologies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Medical degree or equivalent.
- GMC registration.
- Completion of or working towards FRCS (Orthopaedics) or equivalent.
- Intermediate Life Support.
- Competent with basic primary total hip & knee replacement & basic arthroscopic knee surgery.
- 6 years' postgraduate training with at least 5 years' in a relevant specialty training programme or equivalent experience and competencies.
- 3 years' substantive experience above ST3 level in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
- Competitive salary dependent upon skills and qualifications.
